Fred Lang is a Senior Operations and Technology Executive with an extensive career in the healthcare industry and experience in the behavioral, insurance, ambulatory care, and IT business sectors. As a successful executive, he has a rich career in corporate and joint venture start-up leadership, business consolidations, and business reorganization and shutdowns events. Fred has an equally strong career in information technology with emphasis in IT operations and complex IT project management. Furthermore, he has successfully planned and directed projects involving software architecture and development, infrastructure design, help desk applications, voice and data communication solutions, and other technologies during his 30+ year career.
Fred launched Consulting IT, Inc. in 1999 that provides multiple services to diverse clients. His firm specializes in practice management, revenue cycle management and leadership consulting, electronic health records implementation, strategic and tactical planning, administrative and clinical workflow strategies, and other services. Moreover, he has served as an Interim COO, CIO and as an Executive Management Consultant and Coach. Previously, Fred was appointed President and Senior Consultant for Lang, Ball and Associates in Loretto, Minnesota from 1998 to 1999.
In 1997, he joined the University of Chicago, Family First Healthcare as Vice President of Information Services, and worked with MedPower Information Services, Inc., in Edina, Minnesota from 1992 to 1997 as Vice President of Operations and Technical Services.
Fred has a proven track record in positively impacting companies through expertise in corporate operations, new product development, new business development, change management leadership, multi-million dollar project management, strategic partnerships and alliances, multi-million dollar cost saving plans, business continuity plans, HIPAA compliance, and other business functions.
His educational credentials include a Mini-Master of Business Administration, Healthcare Management from University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Saint Johns University in Collegeville. He also earned a Project Management Professional designation and is an active member of MGMA and HIMSS. He has conducted public speaking engagements for several organizations such as GE Healthcare User Summit and the Minnesota Association of Community Mental Health Programs Conference. His career highlights also include two awards from Hennepin County.
